THE RED THREAD
15 | 17 October 2025
Performance-installation by G. Baiocchi & Carteret.
For three days and two nights, artists G. Baiocchi & Carteret inhabit ArtRoom, unfolding and weaving a red thread throughout the gallery space. Inspired by the East Asian legend of the red thread of fate, their gestures trace the invisible bonds that connect us, ties that stretch, tangle, and intertwine over time, yet never break.
The gallery becomes a living loom, where visitors are invited to enter, interact, and leave their mark on the evolving installation. As the red thread expands and transforms, it embodies the delicate yet enduring connections that shape our lives. A dancer joins the performance, weaving movement into the unfolding thread, embodying rhythms of chance, destiny, and encounter.
Together, artists, visitors, and dancer create a shared act of presence: a tapestry of crossings, entanglements, and connections, fragile and enduring, visible and unseen.

CASTELO D'IF
LISBON OPEN STUDIOS
18 | 19 October 2025
Since 2009, the non-profit Castelo D’If Cultural Association has been organizing the Open Studios of Artists (AAA) in Lisbon. Over the years, the event has brought together a wide and diverse community of artists across different neighborhoods of the city. By opening the doors of their studios, spaces usually hidden from public view, artists welcome visitors into the heart of their creative process. This unique encounter not only allows direct contact with the works in progress but also fosters dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the building of meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
When: 18 | 19 October
